SERVICES Typical Applications
The term "pig" is universal for a device
hydraulically or pneumatically propelled through a pipeline. Pigs can
be as simple as a piece of foam or as sophisticated as to indicate anomalies
and areas of potential failure in high pressure gas and oil systems.
High pressure hydrostatic testing of gas mains is the
other primary service provided by Montauk. Not only are systems tested
to regulatory agencies requirements but the lines can be subsequently dried
to minus dew points.
